WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former General Motors Co and Microsoft Corp Chief Financial Officer Christopher Liddell was named White House deputy chief of staff for policy coordination, officials said on Monday.

Liddell, who has been a White House official since the administration took office in January 2017, was under consideration earlier this month to become U.S. President Donald Trumps top economic adviser.
